This sweet doll is made of hard plastic and measures about 3 3/4" tall. I am told that she is a "Twinky" doll, made by a New England woman named Ethel Strong, back in the late 40's or early 50's. Ms Strong had the dolls made and then asked other local women to make the clothing for them. This girl is in very good condition wearing a hand embroidered dress with panties that are a little loose. Her arms and legs are jointed and can move. I think the pictures show her quite well. Selling as
The fine print: Most all of my items are vintage and I get them from a
variety of places. Therefore, I never say that items are mint or brand
new or perfect. I basically just use my common sense and good judgement
when describing things, and show lots of pictures. My own home is
smoke-free though I can't promise that is true of the places these items
come from. However, I do not sell items that stink, and if there ever
is a slight odor of some kind, I would surely tell you. Also, FYI, I do
have 2 cats.
Regarding shipping: I use mostly recyclable materials and my rates have
always been extremely fair. Occasionally I will need to purchase a
specific box or shipping material. Please know that this shipping is not an exact
science for me, especially with the variety of items I sell. However, if there is ever a significant difference between the amount
you paid and my actual shipping costs, I will refund some of your payment. Sometimes "Varied Rate" costs can be a
little funky sometimes so if your calculated rate seems odd, contact me
and we can figure it out. Fortunately, I am in a situation where I can ship items very quickly.
And finally, I welcome all questions because I want you to be satisfied
with your purchase. If there is ever an issue, before, during, or after
the sale, please contact me. I want to work it out with you to keep you
happy, and of course I want to keep up my good record with response.
