This brass microscope by "Nachet Et Fils" has the makers name and the address "Rue Serpente, 16, Paris" engraved in to the ring holding the draw tube.
There are no cracks or chips to the brass that I can find and the microscope has retained much of its' original lacquering, however, there is some tarnishing in places particularly to the draw tube, there are also the usual scuffs, marks and scratches that you expect from a well used item of this age.
The draw tube mechanism moves up and downs smoothly and the fine focus wheel appears to be working, but is stiff.
The mirror revolves as it should, but has a little loss of silvering.
There are two eyepieces and a long stacking lens.
The microscope measures approximately 23 cm (9 inches) tall.
It has its' fitted case.
The microscope is sold as a collectors item and we have not tested it for clarity of image.
