This FTDi-based serial-to-USB adapter kit is ideal for interfacing your Apple IIc Plus or IIGS computer to today's USB ports on your PC or Mac! The adapter is powered through the USB connector so no external power supply is necessary. Transferring at USB 2.0 Full Speed (12 MB/s), this kit works with Windows, Macintosh OS and Linux operating systems.
This kit contains a miniDIN to DB9 serial cable with a removable Slimline null modem adapter, a serial DB-9 to USB converter based upon the FTDi chipset, a USB extension cable, and USB Thumbdrive. The thumbdrive contains drivers for Windows, Macintosh and Linux OS, simple directions for connecting the adapter to your Apple IIc to your PC, a technical reference manual for the FTDi chip itself.
Please note:This kit is specifically for the Apple IIGS and Apple IIc PLUS. This kit isnotfor the Apple IIc, nor Apple IIs equipped with SuperSerial Cards - they require different cables. We have those kits for sale as well.
