10 Inch Rack Mount 1U for Two 3.5 Inch Hard Drives

A 1U sled that holds two 3.5 inch hard drives side by side in a 10 inch mini rack, printed to order in matte black PETG. Each drive drops into its own bay and is screwed up through the floor into its standard bottom mounting holes; the SATA connectors face the back of the rack so the data and power cables leave straight out the rear. A vented faceplate with a window over each drive and an open honeycomb floor keep air moving past the drives.

Designed From The Published Specification

• Fits: any 3.5 inch hard drive built to the industry 3.5 inch form factor (SFF-8301): 101.6 mm wide, up to 147 mm long and 26.1 mm tall - for example WD Red Plus.
• Screw holes: all three standard bottom hole positions are provided under each drive (41.28 mm from the connector end, then 44.45 mm and 76.2 mm further on, 95.25 mm apart), so every compliant drive finds its holes.
• Screws: standard 6-32 x 1/4 inch drive screws (not included), four per drive; the heads sit flush in the underside of the floor.
• Bays 103.6 mm wide each with a center divider; the drive ends sit 1 mm behind the faceplate.
• Faceplate 248 mm wide on EIA-310 10 inch hole spacing; 1U (44.45 mm) tall.

Build

• Single piece.
• Vented rhythm-slot face, a window over each drive and an open honeycomb floor.
• Fits any 10 inch / 254 mm mini rack with standard square or round holes. The mounting slots take M6, M5, #10-32 or M4 rack screws.
• Mount it with all four rack screws.
• Part measures 248 x 153 x 44.45 mm. Matte black PETG.

Printed To Order

Each unit is printed fresh in our shop on calibrated printers and inspected before it ships. Lead time is typically 1-3 business days. Minor layer lines are normal for FDM 3D printing and part of the finish.
