RARE COMPLETE 2008 APPLE 13" MACBOOK + 60GB BLACK iPOD CLASSIC PACKAGE
A remarkably well-preserved piece of Apple’s 2008 era. This is anApple MacBook 5,1 (A1278) Aluminum Unibody, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, offered as a complete period Apple computing package with a60GB Black iPod Classic, original software, installation media, accessories, and more.
Carrying Case Included:A clean, well-maintained black canvas padded carrying case is included with the MacBook. The case features a large rear pocket and divided front pockets that are ideal for the power adapter, cables, and other accessories. It has two sturdy carrying handles, with convenient pockets to tuck the handles away when not in use. These pockets can also be used for keys or other small items. A substantial adjustable shoulder strap is included as well.
The case is appropriately sized for the MacBook and provides convenient protection and easy transport for the computer and its accessories.
The MacBook is inexceptionally clean physical conditionand looks remarkably close to new for its age. It has been carefully cleaned and prepared for its next owner. The original SuperDrive works, and the battery is inGoodcondition with only94 battery cycles. During testing, the battery provided approximately2½ hours of normal usebefore the low-power warning appeared. *Please see note about batteries at the bottom of the page.

CONDITION
This is not a typical worn-out 2008 MacBook. It has been exceptionally well cared for and is inremarkable cosmetic condition. The aluminum body is exceptionally clean, and the machine has been tested for normal operation.
The MacBook and included accessories are approximately 18 years old, so buyers should understand that this isvintage Apple hardware, not a current computer. Modern websites and services may not work properly with the original Leopard operating system because of today’s Internet security requirements. Importantly, the OS can be upgraded through special software patches to the following:

That said, this is an outstanding machine for a collector, vintage Mac enthusiast, retro-computing fan, writer who wants a distraction-free computer, or anyone who remembers when Apple hardware and software were built around this era. In fact, if it doesn't sell, I'll just keep it for a machine I can take down by the lake and write.
A remarkably complete Apple time capsule from 2008. I cannot say enough about the great condition of this quality Apple computer.

*A note about batteries:
Battery Performance:Both the MacBook and iPod batteries perform remarkably well for their age when the devices are in use. The batteries will operate the devices normally for extended periods, but because they are original, decades-old lithium-ion batteries, they will gradually lose their charge when left unused for an extended period. This is normal behavior for batteries of this age and should be expected. The MacBook battery, for example, recently provided approximately 2½ hours of active use before reaching its reserve-power warning.
