Man, as a kid, nothing beat getting a new computer game, whether for Christmas or just buying it for myself. The box itself was a major part of the experience. I loved just admiring the art on it. Now, I pick these up whenever I find them. I love passing on these fun relics to future collectors. This vintage Macintosh Big Box Game will be shipped in a box in order to avoid damage. This particular 3D Ultra Pinball game by Sierra is a very rare Japanese version for the Macintosh. This is the Japanese release for Macintosh and Power Macintosh, sold there as the fully Japanese language edition under product code SPRM-5002. It was published by Sierra Pioneer Inc. of Tokyo and distributed by Pioneer LDC, with the game itself developed by Sierra On-Line in Bellevue, Washington. The box back lists the original retail price as 9,800 yen before tax and gives the requirements as a 68040 33 MHz Macintosh or better with a Power Macintosh recommended, 12 MB of memory, a 13 inch color monitor at 640 by 480 in 256 colors, a double speed CD-ROM drive, and KanjiTalk 7.1 or later.Included are the outer big box, the jewel case with both printed inserts, and the CD-ROM itself. The back of the box refers to an instruction manual and a user registration postcard that originally shipped inside, and neither one is here. Please look through the photos for the condition of the box, the case and the disc.
