Primary Benefit of this model is: • Dual GPU / Multi-Card Setup: • If you populate both full-length slots (PCIEX16(G5)_1 and PCIEX16(G5)_2), the CPU splits its lanes into an x8 / x8 configuration. • For most AI training or heavy multi-GPU inference, running at x8/x8 Gen 5 (or Gen 4/5 depending on the card) provides plenty of bandwidth, though you must verify physical spacing and power delivery. So you can save some money by not upgrading to a Thredripper ROG space crosshair space X 670 E space extreme DDR5-LGA1700 for your Intel 12/13/14 gen CPU in need of significant more bandwidth with 2 PCIE by 16 lanes going directly to the CPU.
