Vintage Apple 5.25” External Floppy Disk Drive – Model A9M0107
Original Apple 5.25-inch external floppy disk drive for vintage Apple II-series computers.
This is the later platinum Apple 5.25 Drive with the classic rainbow Apple badge, permanently attached DB-19 interface cable and recessed rear DB-19 pass-through connector for daisy-chaining another compatible drive.

Testing
This drive has beenconnected to and partially tested with a vintage Apple IIgs.
The drive responds normally to the computer and the drive mechanism operates as expected.
I did not have a 5.25” floppy disk available for testing, so I havenot tested actual disk reading, writing, formatting or booting. The drive is being represented only for the functions I have personally verified.
Cosmetic Condition
The drive is invery good overall vintage cosmetic condition. The case presents nicely, with minor marks and normal wear consistent with age and use. The front panel, rainbow Apple badge, disk latch and activity indicator all present well.

Cable & Daisy-Chain Port
The original permanently attached Apple DB-19 cable is present and appears to be in good physical condition.
The recessed rear DB-19 pass-through connector is also present for daisy-chaining another compatible drive.
In the photographs, the drive’s attached cable is plugged into its own rear pass-through connector for convenient storage.
