Commodore Amiga 500 A500 Zorro Slot Adapter (PCB + SOME PARTS)Nothing is assembled! YOU MUST ASSEMBLE EVERYTHING!Original design by Matze, search a1k.org for notes. I have the full BOM list, just send me a message and I will send you a link to DigiKey. I have yet to see great build notes. This is partly because assembling it is so basic. If you are interested in learning to solder, this is a very good place to start. No SMD and everything is big enough to easily pin Zorro slot 86 pin side A500 slot14 DIP pin socket4 pin Berg power for art, a keychain, or assemble your own Zorro adapterthrough-hole soldering skills are needed to buildthis seems like a very approached project, a fair amount of soldering but it is all through-holeis the 86 pin side slot too big with the screw mounts vs the case? I dunno, I have not built any yet, you may need to trim the edges downBerg power connector - ignore my orientation, I just plugged it in for show; also the BOM lists it as 90 degrees not straight, double check that also14 DIP pin socket - orient the indent, if you've got skills you can skip the socket and solder the IC straight to the PCB, if you are new to solder just use the socketmy big picture plan was to buy (15) PCBs, sell (10) which pays for my (5)why the red background? it just shows the through-hole(s) betterNOTE: you could fry your A500 if you bridge some solder joints on the slots, just triple check your work before power up and perform continuity tests between all slot points (there should be NO continuity! beep = bad!). Or maybe you reverse the Berg power connector and reverse the 12V and 5V lines, also BAD! Take your time, enjoy the project and test everything. Do you think the PCBs I sell seem high? Listen to the Violent Femmes and 'add it up' - printing PCBs, shipping, customs/tariffs, seller fees, push back to designers (I want them to design more things!). It's a lot of effort for a few bucks.Check out my other listings. I have some A500 keyboard membranes and/or Spitfire 500 PCBs that would go great with this and shipping is combined.Only the items listed above are included. Jump back to the days of 16 bit graphics and games. The Amiga was the next generation to the Commodore C64, C128, Plus/4 8 bit 6502 CPU based processors. It competed with the Atari ST 520ST 1040ST line of PCs. Both used the 68000 CPU for their OS.Time for a Mac attack! Does the Mac measure up to an Amiga or ST? Personally, even though I'm into vintage retro classic computing, I was never really into the TI 4/99 PS1 PS2 Nintendo platforms. While I have owned the A500, A600, A1200, and A2000, the A3000 is my favorite. Gee, an awful lot of tags and keywords here. It's almost like I'm trying to troll the AI-bot overlords and their search algorithms. Humans unite!
