This machine has been completely gone over and everything functions asshould.
All drivers are installed properly (see pic) and this laptop worksflawlessly with Win11 Pro 26H2.
I have downloaded all the 14z-5423 manuals and placed them on the desktopfor your convenience.
I have upgraded the DDR3 memory to 8gb (2 x 4gb max for this machine)
I have upgraded the standard SATA HD to a 500gb Seagate Momentus 7200rpm Hybriddrive so it provides better performance than a mechanical SATA drive and is inperfect condition.
This laptop has Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, a built in camera and microphone array, and an 8X DVD±R/RW drive. I haveinstalled free versions (may be upgraded if desired) of Glary Utilities, AomeiBackup, and Faststone Image Viewer/Editor as well as Firefox, Google Chrome, anda GodMode Folder
This machine is VERY clean with minimal wear and scratches and fullyfunctional. I take pride in repurposing these older machines that still haveplenty of life in them when not pushed beyond their reasonable limits.Known cosmetic defects: some minor scratches/scuffs on outer case, some normal wear on the keyboard and touchpad (the keyboard still has theoriginal plastic overlay on it and is very clean!), a missing port cover on oneside (please see pic) -- none of these affect any functionality. The gloss screen is very nice and clean. This machine is very snappy for an i3processor so don’t let that fool you into thinking it is very underpowered. Now, it does take a bit longer to boot butonce into Windows it is very snappy.
