Vintage Dell Dimension 3000 desktop computer being sold AS-IS / FOR PARTS OR REPAIR.
The computer has been tested and does power on. During initial testing, it successfully booted into Windows XP and reached the desktop. The system showed 2.5 GB RAM at that time and recognized the ATI Radeon X300 Series graphics card.
During further testing, the computer became unstable and displayed a Windows blue screen (STOP 0x0000008E). After troubleshooting and removing/reinstalling the graphics card and RAM, the system also produced POST beep codes.
At the time of this listing, the computer powers on and successfully enters the Dell BIOS, but it does not boot into Windows and currently displays:
“NTLDR is missing – Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.”

• Dell Dimension 3000 Series
• Intel Pentium 4 2.80 GHz processor
• 1 MB L2 Cache
• 1 GB (1024 MB) DDR SDRAM installed
• 333 MHz memory speed / Dual Channel
• Hard drive is detected by BIOS
• BIOS Version A01
Known issues / important information:
• Windows currently does not boot
• Previously displayed a Windows blue screen during testing
• POST beep codes occurred during troubleshooting
• CD/optical drives do not open
• BIOS reports that the time/configuration needs to be set; CMOS battery may need replacement
• Hard drive is detected, but its health has not been tested
• Other ports, drives and functions have not been fully tested
• Cosmetic wear, scratches, marks and dust are present from age and previous use
Because of these issues, this computer is being sold strictly FOR PARTS OR REPAIR with no guarantee of functionality. It may be suitable for repair, restoration, parts, or a vintage PC project.
