Travel straight back to 2002 and the absolute golden era of early-2000s desktop computing with an authentic, wonderfully preserved battlestation: an original Dell Dimension 4500 Mid-Tower PC running its factory-original Windows XP Professional installation!

Having the original factory operating system installation makes this system exceptionally desirable for collectors, archivists, and retro enthusiasts: all proprietary Dell Intel 845E chipset drivers, AGP graphics acceleration, integrated audio codecs, and system communication controllers are completely native and fully configured out of the box—with zero missing driver yellow exclamation marks!

Finished in Dell’s celebrated two-tone midnight-gray and charcoal mid-tower chassis featuring the center power medallion with split diagnostic indicator lines, lower curved front intake pedestal, and prominent chrome Dell emblem, the Dimension 4500 was Dell's mainstream enthusiast workhorse of the early XP generation. Powered by an authentic Socket 478 Intel Pentium 4 processor clocked at 2.00GHz (Northwood 130nm architecture, 512KB L2 cache, 400MHz/533MHz FSB), 512MB of DDR SDRAM, and an internal 40GB Ultra ATA IDE hard drive, this tower boots cleanly and swiftly into an authentic installation of Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Version 2002, Service Pack 3) complete with classic OEM shortcuts and desktop elements!

For retro PC gamers, vintage hardware collectors, and software archivists, an authentic bare-metal Socket 478 Windows XP machine with a dedicated AGP expansion architecture is the holy grail for late-1990s through mid-2000s classics that run into severe DRM blocks (SafeDisc/SecuROM), 16-bit installer bugs, scaling issues, or audio driver incompatibilities on modern operating systems. Backed by dedicated graphics hardware, it effortlessly powers through era classics like The Sims & The Sims 2, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 & 2, Half-Life & Counter-Strike 1.6, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, StarCraft: Brood War, Age of Empires II, Civilization III, Fallout 1 & 2, Heroes of Might and Magic III, and classic PopCap games.

Built with an expansive drive array and authentic legacy hardware ports:

• Integrated 5.25" tray-loading CD-RW / DVD-ROM optical drive (with front manual volume wheel, headphone jack, and emergency eject pinhole)

• Secondary open 5.25" optical expansion drive bay with stealth spring-loaded cover

• Integrated 3.5" 1.44MB floppy diskette drive (essential for vintage floppy gaming, DOS boot disks, and retro diskette archiving)

Condition Notes

• Functional Condition: 100% bench-tested and fully operational. Boots cleanly and swiftly into its original factory installation of Windows XP Professional SP3 with all native Dell drivers, AGP graphics acceleration, and system utilities verified. The Intel Pentium 4 2.00GHz processor runs cool and responsive, memory tests healthy, and the 40GB IDE hard drive reads and writes cleanly with a healthy partition structure. The 3.5" floppy drive reads disks properly, the optical drive ejects and reads media smoothly, cooling fans spin freely, and the dedicated AGP graphics card outputs a sharp, rock-solid display signal.

• Cosmetic Condition: Great vintage collector condition overall. The two-tone dark gray front bezel, central power medallion, and heavy steel side panels are structurally solid with no broken covers, missing case feet, or cracked plastic. Shows light, normal cosmetic surface marks, faint shelf wear, and minor hairline scuffs consistent with careful home/office use and vintage age.
