Here is an IBM 5120 vintage computer, also known as the IBM 5110-3. It comes with two 8-inch floppy drives. I believe it is the BASIC model, as it doesn't have a switch for APL and has no APL keyboard keys.TURNS ON, various fans spin and the computer hums.
NO DISPLAY, nothing comes up on the screen, no letters or text. Display Registers and Brightness switches seem to do nothing, none of the process lights near the monitor turn on.
When I originally bought this, the display worked and showed text, but unfortunately it seems to have been damaged during shipping and it's beyond my level to repair. Could be a ROM issue or something simply might've come loose during shipping. There are a few cracks in the frame, which I showed in the pictures. Also a crack in the back panel. There are some plastic/paint chips on the case.
THE SCREWS FOR THE BACK COVER AND BACK PANEL ARE MISSING. Make sure you are aware of this. Cover/panel fits in properly and comes off just fine though. You could probably replace the screws.
Keyboard membrane and various rubber reinforcements/trim inside the computer have deteriorated or fallen apart, this is due to age and can't be helped. I cleaned out what I could. Various scratches and smudges are around the outside frame.Comes with NO manuals or disks. What you see is what you get, just the computer. I couldn't figure out how to get the card cage out, so I can't verify the cards inside. There seems to be a total of 7 computer cards plugged in.EXTREMELY HEAVY, over 110+ lbs. It has been professionally wrapped and boxed by UPS, who will also be shipping it. Shipping is included in the price.
NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, US MAINLAND ONLY.As the computer doesn't display properly, it's being listed as FOR PARTS/REPAIR. Please make sure you know what you are getting into if you buy this. Feel free to make a fair offer. Thanks for viewing my listing.
