With the ToughArmor MB994IKO-3SB, Icy Dock introduces a new Dual-Bay 2, 5" SATA/SAS HDD/SSD backplane with an integrated Slim-ODD bay in a single 5.25" drive bay. The ideal device for compact systems or servers such as IPCs, HTPCs, NAS or home servers. Two 4-pin power connections are used to ensure a secure and constant power supply of both drives and the ODDs - whether power saving SSDs or power-hungry 2.5 inch SAS drives with 15000 rpm. The trays offer individual metal locks to ensure a secure hold in your case. The fan on/off switch allows you to further customise the system to the drives used. When using SSDs, you can leave the fan off and operate the MB994IKO-3SB silently. Otherwise, the fan is a great way to cool drives with sensitive data and thus contribute to data security. The ToughArmor MB994IKO-3SB Tray-System uses individual security locks for each drive tray, to protect them from accidental ejection or unauthorized access. This is useful in security areas where additional physical protection is required, as well as in mobile systems from portable workstations or in-vehicle systems from the automotive sector. The MB994IKO-3SB housing is made of aluminium to withstand the most adverse conditions, providing optimal heat dissipation while saving as much weight as possible. Front and rear vents provide maximum airflow to keep your hard drives cool at all times, while LEDs on each drive bay inform the user of the drive status at all times.
