This BarraCuda drive provides 1TB of storage capacity in a compact 2.5" x 7mm form factor. The corresponding ST1000LM048 platform uses a SATA 6 Gb/s interface, operates at 5400 RPM, incorporates 128MB cache, and supports sustained transfer rates up to approximately 140 MB/s.
The 7mm-height 2.5" format is commonly used in laptops, notebooks, compact PCs and other systems accepting standard SATA drives.
