IBM Model-F keyboard with buckling springs switches.
This Model F is at least 40 years old, but it does not seem like it has seen a lot of use. It was dirty when I got it, but when the dirt washed away it was amazing how new the whole thing looked. This is one is unusual because all the cork feet were intact and in great shape, and the switch plate which is usually pitted and corroded was in excellent shape. The foam was pretty deteriorated just like most of these old keyboards so it got replaced. This keyboard is exceptionally clean, and looks like it did not get a lot of use.
In summary this keyboard has been:
1. Complete disassembled down to the smallest parts2. Case top and bottom washed and scrubbed to look like new3. The springs, paddles and keycaps cleaned in an Ultrasonic cleaner4. The switch plate was dirty but in unusually excellent shape with absolutely no corrosion or pitting. So cleaned and kept it as it is.5. Original foam was pretty much disintegrated so replaces with new foam.6. Cork feet are usually missing, but this one had the original ones and in great condition, so they stayed.7. Keyboard was tested to confirm that all switches work.
This keyboard was tested using a Soarer's Converter and I can provide additional information on which one was used and were to get it.
