Zebra 105SL. I have no idea if it works. SELLING AS-IS FOR PARTS AND NO RETURNS. I'm happy to do any tests you want and answer any questions you have but I have no ribbon or paper (unless you want to send me some for testing). ASK questions as I CAN NOT guarantee my description is perfect (like all the connectivity options); you must rely 100% on pictures; I'm not an expert in these.
It turns on (see pictures) and the POWER LED illuminates. After a few moments all the LEDs illuminate and a bit later all the LEDS except the POWER LED turn back off and the LCD display reads PRINTER READY. After a bit the display reads WARNING RIBBON IN and the CHECK RIBBON LED comes on. After a moment the display reads PRINTER IDLE V60.17.52 and ERROR LED comes on and it cycles between these last two states. Maybe this is all because I have no ribbon or paper in, but I don't know.
This unit was wrapped several times using the really big rolls of plastic wrap that shipping companies use in order to protect the paint, however, a little moisture got under the plastic wrap and actually left a strange pattern all over the paint as can be seen in the pictures so it had the opposite effect that was intended; ie. it damaged the paint instead of protecting it. Also, it caused a little bit of rusting of some of the non-stainless metals inside which can be seen on the close-up pictures that I have provided.
I'm hoping someone who finds this will know if it works and be able to use it, or will be able to fix it if it does not work, or will be able to use parts off of it to fix another one. Make a reasonable offer if I'm asking too much, but please make it reasonable.
