Please don't care the speed of the adapter card. This adapter card only changes the interface shape, that is, it connects the signal line from your original hard disk interface and changes to another interface shape. Such conversion does not need to go through the integrated circuit chip. Since it does not go through the integrated circuit chip, it has no impact on the speed performance of your hard disk and does not need any driver (the operating system loads the drive of your hard disk.
