FAQQ: What is the cable quality? Is it shielded?
A: Features full metal layer shielding with advanced EMI conductive polymer. The flat ribbon cable is fully encapsulated with EMI shielding polymer.
It blocks incoming and outgoing electromagnetic radiation, minimizes signal interference and performance degradation while keeping the cable lightweight.
Q: Cable thickness? Is it flexible and bendable?
A: Cable thickness is only 1.3mm. The ribbon cable is soft and flexible. Safe bending will not affect signal performance.
Q: Why low performance, stuttering or no display after installing the riser cable?
There are 3 common root causes:
- Wrong slot installation: The GPU riser must be plugged into the PCIe x16 slot nearest the CPU. Other slots provide reduced bandwidth.
- Poor contact or oxidation: Oxidation or dirt on GPU gold fingers / motherboard PCIe pins causes stuttering. Clean the contacts thoroughly before assembly.
- Aged hardware: This riser is NOT recommended for motherboards or graphics cards older than 4 years. Aged hardware with weak signal quality may require reduced speed for stable operation.
Important Installation & Purchase Warnings
- Confirm correct orientation before plugging in. Reversed or misaligned insertion may damage your GPU or motherboard. Hold the port firmly when inserting, avoid excessive force breaking pins.
- Do NOT bend or pull the cable within 2cm of soldering points on both PCB ends.
- Signal driving capability varies between different motherboards and GPUs. Our lab test results may differ from your hardware setup. Signal loss is unavoidable with extension cables. If you require absolutely perfect signal quality, please do NOT purchase this item.
- Electronic hardware ages and oxidates over time. Adding a riser cable will further reduce stability on old hardware. Devices older than 4 years are not supported.
