Overview
The Total Access® 5000 8-Port Combo PON OLT (8-Port Combo OLT) access module is capable of providing XGS-PON and GPON on the same SFP+ Port. The 8-Port Combo OLT:llll

• Provides optical connections with front panel fiber SFP+ cages labeled 1 to 8. The PON SFP+ modules dictate the specific application forthe OLT.

• Provides eight industry standard XGS-PON and GPON capable interfaces that are ITU-T G9807.1, G984.2, and G984.3 compliant.

• Complies with the applicable standards of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU-T), the American National StandardsInstitute (ANSI), and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

• Meets the Network Equipment-Building System (NEBS) requirements. The product also meets the applicable International and NorthAmerican safety and regulatory GPON/XGS-PON network consists of an optical line terminal (OLT) located at the central office and the optical network terminal (ONT) located at the customer premises. Between them lies the optical distribution network (ODN) comprised of fibers and passive splitters or couplers. A splitter is a device that divides the 8-Port Combo OLT optical signal into multiple endpoints.
  The Combo PON technology is based on passive optical network (PON) technology that allows the use of pluggable optics that support GPON, XGS-PON, or Combo PON (GPON/XGS-PON)
