THIS CARD IS UNSTABLE AT DEFAULT SETTINGS, AND I DO NOT KNOW WHY. At AMD Radeon's Default GPU tuning preset, the OCCT 17.1.10 VRAM test reported 463,291 errors in under 3 minutes and I stopped it early (screenshot in the photos). I also saw errors on earlier tests, including after an AMD driver update and reboot. I have not diagnosed the cause and I am not claiming any specific part is faulty.
WHAT DOES WORK
The card outputs a picture.
I played games on it for a while at the reduced settings below.
At those reduced settings, OCCT's VRAM test ran 4 min 59 sec with 0 errors and OCCT 3D Adaptive ran 4 min 41 sec with 0 errors. I stopped both early, so this does not prove long-term stability and I do not guarantee it.
SETTINGS I USED (AMD Radeon Software)
GPU maximum frequency: 1721 MHz
Voltage setting: 1091 mV (a tuning control, not a measured operating voltage)
VRAM maximum frequency: 2000 MHz
Memory timing: Default
These worked on my computer. Your system may need different settings, and results may in good condition (see photos).
It has been overclocked and undervolted with regular software, but it has never been repaired.
Shown with its original ASRock Taichi box in the as is, no returns and no warranty. Because of the instability at default settings it is listed as for parts or not working.
