I've decided to sell my wonderful Macintosh IIci desktop computer. I've done so much work to this Mac, making it quick, reliable, and so much fun to use. Here's a brief summary:
- Floppy disk drive serviced - new eject gear and fresh lubricant for smooth operation
- BlueSCSI v2 installed in place of original spinning hard drive (uses a 16GB SD card)
- RAM upgraded to 68MB
- 32k CPU cache card installed (capacitors replaced)
- Logic board SMD capacitors replaced with leak-proof aluminum polymer type
- Power supply capacitors replaced with low ESR Nichicon and Rubycon components
- Clock battery removed for safety
- Case cleaned and detailed
On the 16GB SD card, I have configured three hard drive partitions. One has System 7.5.5, one has System 7.0.1, and the third is loaded with many applications/utilities/games (see photos). Simply use the "Startup Disk" control panel to boot into whichever OS you'd like - it's that simple. If there is a specific title you would like preloaded, send me a message before purchase and I'll see if I can install it for you. To get online, I'd recommend booting into System 7.5.5, opening up the Wi-Fi desk accessory from the Apple menu, and choosing your wireless network (it's fairly straightforward). I've integrated the front-facing hard drive activity LED with the BlueSCSI, which flashes with disk access or wi-fi activity.
