This Dell EMC VxRail S570 node was fully tested and working; the memory was then removed and sold separately, so it ships as a barebones server with NO RAM and NO drives. The drive caddies are included (all bays), the BOSS-S1 boot card is present with no M.2 SSDs, and both CPUs, the HBA330, and the X710 NIC are installed. The chassis shows noticeable wear and scratches from rack use, as seen in the photos — cosmetic only. Only the items described/pictured are included. Please Note Before You Buy

Sold as hardware only — no VxRail software or licensing. This is a VxRail S570 node, which is built on Dell's PowerEdge R740xd platform. No Dell EMC VxRail or VMware vSAN software, licenses, or entitlements are included (those are tied to the original cluster and do not transfer). The node is sold as general-purpose server hardware and can be repurposed as a standard R740xd-class server — install your own ESXi, Proxmox, Windows Server, Linux, TrueNAS, etc.

Barebones — no memory and no drives. The server ships with NO RAM (add your own DDR4-2666 RDIMM/LRDIMM, up to 24 DIMMs) and NO storage drives. The drive caddies are included, so you can populate bays without buying trays separately. The BOSS-S1 boot card is installed but has no M.2 SSDs.

The HBA330 is a non-RAID HBA (IT mode). It presents drives directly to the OS (pass-through) — excellent for vSAN, ZFS/TrueNAS, Storage Spaces, and other software-defined storage. It does NOT do traditional hardware RAID; if you need hardware RAID, you would add a PERC controller.

Tested working prior to RAM removal. The node was fully functional before the memory was pulled for separate sale. With no RAM installed it will not POST to an OS until memory is added — this is expected for a barebones unit.
