Which printers does this fit?
This cartridge is made for the HP LaserJet Pro M402 and MFP M426 families:
- HP LaserJet Pro M402d, M402dn, M402dne, M402dw, M402n, M402m
- HP LaserJet Pro MFP M426dw, M426fdn, M426fdw, M426m
Quick check: Look at the cartridge currently in your printer. If it is marked 26X, 26A, CF226X or CF226A, this cartridge fits your machine.
26X or 26A — what is the difference?
Both cartridges fit the same printers. The difference is capacity:
- HP 26X (CF226X) — high yield, approx. 9,000 pages. This is the cartridge in this listing.
- HP 26A (CF226A) — standard yield, approx. 3,100 pages.
The 26X prints close to three times more pages, so the cost per page is lower for regular office use.
How to confirm this cartridge is genuine
You do not have to take our word for it. Every original HP toner box carries an HP security label you can check yourself:
- Tilt the box front to back — the toner bucket icons change into shield icons.
- Tilt the box again — the word ORIGINAL and a small hp logo appear and disappear.
- Scan the QR code on the security label with your phone. HP confirms the product immediately.
The security label and serial number are photographed for every unit before dispatch.

Common questions
Will my printer show a "non-genuine cartridge" warning?
No. This is an original HP cartridge and the printer recognises it normally.
Does the printer show the correct toner level?
Yes. The HP smart chip is included, so the remaining level is reported accurately.
Will it work in an M403 or M427 printer?
These models belong to the same cartridge family. Please check the code printed on your current cartridge before ordering, or message us with your exact printer model and we will confirm.
My printer was bought outside North America. Will this work?
HP supplies carry regional coding. This stock is for the North America region. If your printer was purchased and registered outside the US or Canada, please message us before ordering so we can confirm compatibility for your machine.
Can I order more than one?
Yes. Message us before ordering and we will arrange combined shipping.
