Travel straight back to 2009 and the definitive dawn of the Windows 7 era with an authentic, wonderfully preserved portable battlestation: an original HP G61 (Model G61-320US) 15.6" Widescreen Notebook PC running its factory-original Windows 7 Home Premium installation!

Having the original factory operating system installation makes this system exceptionally desirable for collectors, archivists, and retro enthusiasts: all proprietary Hewlett-Packard chipset drivers, ATI Mobility Radeon graphics acceleration, audio codecs, touchpad controls, and factory recovery software profiles are completely native and fully configured out of the box—with zero missing driver yellow exclamation marks!

Finished in HP’s classic Imprint glossy piano-black lid and brushed silver interior palm rest deck, the HP G61 series combines clean ergonomics with full desktop replacement capability. Powered by an authentic dual-core AMD Athlon II Dual-Core M300 processor running at 2.00GHz, 3.00 GB of DDR2 RAM (2.75 GB usable after shared video allocation), and an internal 250GB Toshiba SATA hard drive (Model: MK2555GSX / 219 GB formatted NTFS C: partition with over 165 GB of free space plus the original factory D: recovery partition), this notebook boots cleanly and swiftly into an authentic installation of Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit (Service Pack 1, Activated) complete with the factory HP wallpaper!

For retro PC gamers, vintage hardware collectors, and archivists, an authentic bare-metal Windows 7 machine is an essential bridge for running turn-of-the-decade PC classics that suffer from modern OS DRM blocks, scaling glitches, or crash errors on Windows 10/11. Backed by integrated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 graphics (with 128MB display cache memory), it effortlessly glides through era blockbusters like The Sims 2 & 3, Civilization IV & V, Portal 1 & 2, Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead 2, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, StarCraft II, Fallout 3, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, and classic PopCap games.

Condition Notes

• Functional Condition: 100% bench-tested and fully operational. Boots cleanly and swiftly into its original factory installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with all drivers, HP utilities, and desktop wallpaper active. The dual-core AMD Athlon II M300 processor runs cool and responsive, memory tests healthy, and the 250GB Toshiba hard drive reads and writes cleanly with an intact partition structure. The 15.6" BrightView HD display is bright, clear, and evenly illuminated with rich contrast. Keyboard keys, numeric keypad, touchpad, USB ports, display output, and the optical drive function properly. Please note: As with all retro laptops, vintage lithium-ion battery cells degrade over time; batteries may not hold much of a charge anymore. The system operates reliably and smoothly when powered via the included AC power adapter.

• Cosmetic Condition: Great vintage condition overall. The glossy piano-black lid and brushed silver palm rest deck are structurally solid with intact hinge tension and no cracked chassis plastic. Shows light, normal cosmetic surface marks, faint shelf wear, and minor hairline scuffs on the glossy outer lid consistent with careful handling and vintage age. Original palm rest badges, retail feature sticker, and embossed HP lid medallion remain intact and legible. Please review the high-resolution photos for an exact look at physical condition.
