Kindle Oasis 8th Gen Walnut — Listing Kindle Oasis · 8th Gen (2016) · Wi-Fi · Walnut Real page-turn buttons.
A cover that keeps it charged.

The original Kindle Oasis with its walnut leather charging cover. Light enough to hold in one hand, and the cover tops up the battery every time you close it.

✦ Charging Cover Works Physical Page Buttons 300 ppi E Ink Built-In Light Wi-Fi · 4 GB ✦ Amazon Charger Included The Kindle is ready to read. The leather shows its miles.

The screen, page-turn buttons, and frame are in good shape. Tested and working: the touchscreen and both page buttons respond, the light runs its full range, and Wi-Fi connects. The photos show the Kindle charging from the cover, so you can see the cover battery doing its job.

The walnut leather has visible scuffs and lighter streaks, which is how this suede-finish leather wears with use, and the inner panel has a few light marks. Photos show every side. It's deregistered and reset, ready to sign in to your own Amazon account.

Why readers still look for one Made to hold in one hand. Turn pages with your thumb.

The Oasis puts its weight in a tapered grip along one edge, so it rests in your palm like a paperback folded back. Your thumb lands on two physical page-turn buttons. No reaching across the screen, no smudges.

Switch hands and the screen rotates automatically, with the buttons swapping to match. Amazon retired the Oasis line in 2024, which ended page-turn buttons on Kindles, and that's a big reason readers still seek these out.

How the charging cover works Two batteries. One closes like a book.

Think of the cover as a power bank built into the book jacket. On its own the Kindle weighs just 4.6 oz, perfect for reading in bed. Snap the cover on and its built-in battery quietly refills the Kindle's, so the two together go far longer between charges.

Amazon rated the pair at up to eight weeks per charge (half an hour of reading a day, wireless off, light at 10). The leather cover is magnetic, wakes the Kindle when you open it, and puts it to sleep when you close it.

1 · CHARGEOne micro-USB cable charges the Kindle and cover together. 2 · READRead with the cover on, or slip it off for the lightest grip. 3 · CLOSESnapped together, the cover tops up the Kindle automatically. The screen Reads like paper. Day or night.

A 6-inch, 300 ppi E Ink Carta display renders text as crisply as print, with no glare even in direct sunlight. A 10-LED built-in light spreads evenly across the page for reading in the dark.

4 GB of storage holds thousands of books, with everything you buy from Amazon also kept free in the cloud.
