MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M 6GB GDDR5 MXM Graphics Card

This GPU was purchased for testing in my Clevo P157SM laptop. During testing, the card was successfully detected by the system, but due to platform firmware differences I was unable to fully initialize the GPU for normal display output.
Testing Performed
- Successfully detected by system BIOS and Windows.
- Correctly identified as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M.
- GPU powers on normally and is recognized by the system.
- Unable to complete driver installation, benchmarking, or stress testing due to platform compatibility limitations.
Compatibility Information
This particular MSI GTX 970M (MS-1W0H1) differs from many older MXM graphics cards. Unlike cards such as the MSI GTX 680M, this revision does not utilize a traditional standalone display initialization vBIOS stored on the graphics card itself. Instead, it relies on firmware support provided by compatible MSI laptop BIOS implementations.
Because my Clevo P157SM does not provide this firmware support, the GPU could be detected by the system but could not be fully initialized for display output or stress testing.
This is a compatibility limitation of my test platform and does not necessarily indicate the graphics card is defective. It may function normally in a compatible MSI laptop or another supported platform.
