Please read first: this is a PASSIVELY COOLED data-center card. It has no fan. It needs a server chassis that pushes air through the heatsink front to back. In a desktop case without ducted fans it will overheat and throttle within minutes. Power is one 8-pin EPS-12V connector (the CPU-style plug), not a PCIe 8-pin; most server GPU power cables and EPS adapters fit, a standard PCIe cable does not. The three DisplayPort outputs are disabled from the factory on the A40 (compute mode); NVIDIA's Display Mode Selector tool can enable them. If any of that is news to you, this is not the card for you.

Every card was tested individually on 2026-10-13 on a Supermicro H12DSi-NT6 bench (Ubuntu 26.04, driver 595.91.07, DCGM 4.7): DCGM diagnostic level 3 PASS on every test (software, full memory walk, diagnostic, PCIe, targeted stress, targeted power), then 10 minutes of gpu-burn FP32 at the full 300W power limit: 0 compute errors, 20 to 22 TFLOPS sustained. Memory health before and after: 0 ECC errors (lifetime and volatile), 0 remapped rows, no pending retirements. 0 driver Xid events. Each card held PCIe Gen4 x16 under load. Thermal note, stated plainly. In our test chassis each card reached its 88C maximum operating temperature under the all-core burn and clock-managed as designed (software thermal slowdown, no hardware slowdown, no errors). That is the bench airflow, not the card; a server with proper front-to-back airflow holds an A40 well under that. It is on the certificate because we do not hide test data.
Physical condition: gold shroud and backplate unmarked, fins straight, bracket and rear retention tab intact, all screws present. Cards were in a rack their whole life, never in a desktop. Card only: no EPS power cable or adapter, no retail box, no NVLink bridge (the A40 supports NVLink with a separate bridge).
