Item Description
The NETGEAR AV Line MSM4214X is a fully managed switch built for AV over IP installations that need multi-gigabit connectivity and streamlined rack integration. Twelve 2.5G ports connect networked AV endpoints, while 2 SFP+ ports provide high speed uplink options. Rear facing network connections help keep signal cabling organized inside AV racks, while status indicators remain accessible from the front.
Purpose Built AV Management
The M4250 platform comes preconfigured for common audio and video over IP applications and provides an AV focused web interface for additional configuration. Port based profiles simplify deployment for supported AV workflows, while NETGEAR IGMP Plus helps manage multicast traffic between switches. Built in profiles support common audio and video networking environments, including Dante, Q SYS, AES67, NDI, and other supported protocols. AVB functionality is also supported with the required electronic license sold separately.
Multi-gigabit Connectivity
Twelve 2.5G network ports provide flexible copper connectivity for demanding AV endpoints, complemented by 2 SFP+ interfaces for higher bandwidth fiber or compatible uplink connections. The fully managed switching platform also supports advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking capabilities, giving AV and IT teams more control when building segmented or multicast based installations.
At 440 x 100 x 43.2 mm and 1.745 kg, the switch fits efficiently into professional AV rack environments. Standard and recessed rack mounting brackets are supplied, along with rubber footpads for tabletop deployment, giving installers multiple placement options for permanent systems and production environments.
