A rational key layout suitable for shortcut operations The roots of HHKB are "keyboards with the ideal key layout for programmers". The minimalist keys are arranged in a logical order, so you don't have to move your hands from the home position, and typing is essentially speedy. This characteristic is further enhanced by making full use of shortcuts that use combination keystrokes with the "Control" and "Fn" keys. Compact size for easy portability The compact size of just over half the size of A4 paper, achieved by a key arrangement that eliminates unnecessary elements, is also a fundamental element of HHKB. Since it can be carried around like your favorite fountain pen, you can enjoy the touch and key arrangement unique to HHKB as "my keyboard" even when you're out and about. Supports Bluetooth and USB connections (Type-C connector) The "HYBRID Type-S" and "HYBRID" can be connected via Bluetooth and USB. Since you can freely use wireless and wired connections, it can be used with any device. With Bluetooth connection, you can register devices (up to four) in advance and immediately connect to the desired device with simple key operations. The USB uses a Type-C connector that can be inserted in reverse, greatly reducing stress when connecting. Keymap change function In addition to the DIP switch that allows you to change the assignment of control keys, the "HYBRID Type-S" and "HYBRID" are equipped with a "keymap change function" that allows you to customize the keymap of control keys and general character keys (-). Changing the keymap using software (running on Windows) is intuitive and easy to use, and the settings are saved on the HHKB main unit, so you can use the same keymap on other devices. You can build a more professional "my keyboard" by reflecting your preferences, pursuing the fastest speed, and optimizing for typing competitions and e-sports. *Excluding some keys assigned special functions. Perfect details with high quality The details are also professional specifications, such as the "cylindrical step sculpture" that faces all key top surfaces toward the center, the "tilt adjustment function" (photo) that allows you to adjust the keyboard to your preferred angle with three-stage tilt switching, and the "sublimation printing" that has excellent durability.
