An unknown pin was bent during removal from cooler. as a result, one of the memory slots is not working. This resulted in only being able to run my memory in Single Channel mode. I could still use two slots, but only in single channel.
It could be possible to bend the pin back, or it could be completely broken off. I never tried and I could not find a pin that didn't look good.
Also, please look closely at the heatsink, it is a little dented from the removal process. Still in working order, but if this an issue for you, I suggest you leave it.
