Silicon Mechanics / Supermicro H8QG6 4-Processor Server – 128GB ECC RAM

Used Silicon Mechanics rackmount server built around a Supermicro H8QG6/H8QGi motherboard. Unit has been extensively tested and is in good working condition based on the testing described H8QG6/H8QGi motherboard

Testing performed:

Server powers on and successfully completes POST.

All four AMD Opteron 6320 processors are detected by the system.

128GB of installed ECC memory was tested using MemTest86+. A complete memory test pass was performed over approximately 11 hours with ZERO errors.

BIOS hardware monitoring was checked after testing:

• All six primary chassis fans operational
• Fan speeds approximately 4,000–4,400 RPM
• Chipset fan approximately 6,490 RPM
• System temperature approximately 21°C at time checked
• +12V, +5V and +3.3V rails reported normal values
• No temperature or voltage warnings observed
• Both onboard Ethernet ports were link-tested successfully
• VGA output tested and working
• USB tested and working
• LSI SAS2008 controller initializes successfully during POST

The installed power supply operated the server throughout the extended memory test without issue.

Storage / Drive Backplane:

All six front drive caddies are included but are empty. No HDDs or SSDs are included.

The LSI SAS2008 controller successfully initializes during POST; however, because no drives were installed, the individual drive bays/backplane were not tested with drives.

Condition:

Used equipment with normal cosmetic wear from previous installation and use, including scratches, scuffs, labels/stickers and other signs of handling. Please review photos carefully for exact cosmetic condition.

Only the hardware pictured and specifically described above is included. No hard drives, operating system, rails, keyboard, monitor, network cables or other accessories are included unless specifically shown as included.
