The Surgex SX-1213-RTI Rack Mountable Surge Eliminator is a professional-grade power conditioner and surgeprotector featuring non-sacrificial Advanced Series Mode® technology and remoteturn-on capabilities for protecting sensitive AV and IT equipment. It is a 1Urack-mountable unit with 11 outlets.
Key Features and Benefits.
- Advanced Series Mode® Technology: Unlike common MOV-based surge protectors, this patented, non-sacrificial technology completely eliminates surge energy up to 6,000 volts and 1,000 amps without diverting it to the ground, which prevents harmful earth contamination or common-mode disturbances that can degrade audio and video performance.
- Remote Turn-On Functionality: The "RTI" in the model name indicates it is equipped for remote turn-on control, allowing for integration with master control systems and sequence-based power management.
- Comprehensive Power Conditioning: Includes SurgeX ICE® (Inrush Current Elimination), COUVS (Catastrophic Over/Under Voltage Shutdown), and an advanced Impedance Tolerant® EMI/RFI filter for a complete power conditioning solution.
- Reliable and Durable: The unit is built with a magnetic shielding steel enclosure and is backed by a 10-year warranty. A self-test circuit with a visual indicator provides ongoing peace of mind regarding the unit's operational status.
- High Performance Applications: Reviewers have noted it is "military and mission critical grade equipment" and the "real deal" for protecting expensive gear, particularly in professional audio/video settings.
