Tested/Guaranteed • PTP GrandmasterIEEE-1588 Option • NewVFD Display Installed • Brand New ublox GPSReceiver Installed • Upgraded OCXOOscillator • GPS Discplined NTP Server • Latest Firmware •IPv6 Ready • Rack Ears Included
The photos show the actual item for This unit has been upgradedwith a new, latest generation GPS receiver module fromublox. It is therefore unaffected by the September 18th2022 week number rollover event that caused mostSyncServers to fail to sync to GPS. The new card is goodfor accurate GPS time and date reception until beyond2037, also achieves lock to GPS time much more quickly, with the right antenna,
A lightly used NTP server that obtains highlyaccurate and traceable time from the GPS satelliteconstellation, in very good cosmetic condition andwhich has a new bright and clear VFD display installed. Thephotos show the actual item for sale. This unit has anupgraded OCXO internal oscillator for free-runningtimekeeping should the GPS signal be lost temporarily. Italso has the IEE-1588 PTPMaster feature enabled. Rackears are included as shown. It has been tested and confirmedto be fully working Firmware has been updated to v2.83.2which is the latest version available. A few nicks andscratches in the paintwork have been retouched unsingmatching paint so the unit will look close to pristine whenviewed from a normal distance.
Note that an antenna is not included but I have matched12V types listed separately and can edit the listing toinclude one if required. For best results the antenna needsto be mounted outside with a complete view of thesky. The unit's password has been reset to the factorydefaults (logon admin:symmetricom) ready for your install. The listing comprises the items you see in the images(only). No printed manual is included but a copy may bedownloaded from the link below. No other cables, documentsor accessories are included. Screenshots taken during mytesting of the actual item for sale are provided below foryour peace of mind.

Overview
The SyncServer S300 is a high performance, enhanced securityenterprise class GPS Network Time Server. It sets standardsfor security, accuracy, reliability, and redundancy in networktime servers.
Usually Sells for over $6,000 (+ PTP ServerUpgrade Charge)
Stratum 1 Operation Via GPS Satellites 4 Independent NTP Ports Internal Dial-up Modem for Time Reference Redundancy Stratum 2 Operation via NTP Servers TACACS+, RADIUS, NTPv4 Autokey, MD5 authentication Secure Web-Based Management SSH, SSL, SCP, SNMP, Custom MIB, HTTPS, Telnet, and More High-Resolution Vacuum Fluorescent Display Full Numeric Keypad IPv6 and IPv4 Compatible Nanosecond Time Accuracy to UTC Dedicated Sysplex Timer Output Alarm Relays Single Satellite Timing All features of the SyncServer S200 Unmatched High Performance with UnparalleledFlexibility and Security
The S300 has four dedicated and isolated Ethernet ports, one ofwhich is Gigabit Ethernet - more than enough to meet the need ofservicing thousands of NTP requests per second while maintainingmicrosecond caliber timestamp accuracy. Multiple ports providethe flexibility to adapt to different network topologies asnetworks grow and change. It supports a wide range of networkprotocols including IPv4 and IPv6, for easy management andseamless integration into your existing and future network. Anoptional upgrade to IEEE 1588 PTP grandmaster operations withhardware based, nanosecond accurate time stamping is available.
Enhanced Security - Secure and Easy Network Integrationand Management
The S300 provides very reliable and secure networksynchronization technology by combining multi-port networkinterfaces with multiple time reference technology and enhancedsecurity protocols. TACACS+, RADIUS, SSL, Autokey, MD5,passwords, access control lists and more are standard formaximum security. All of the expected network management andmonitoring protocols are standard in the S300.
Easy To Set Up and Maintain
SyncServers are the easiest to set up and maintain network timeservers in the world. The front panel of the SyncServer S300 isdesigned to quickly bring the server online with a few frontpanel keystrokes or DHCP. To fully configure the unit, use thevery intuitive web interface or the step-by-step wizards for themost common operations.
Redundancy and Time Assurance
The internal modem is standard to connect directly to legaltime provided by national time authorities. An optional AM radiois available to synchronize to national time broadcasts, whichcan be an alternative to GPS when GPS is not viable option.
Assured Perfect Timing
The Stratum 1 level S300 derives extremely accurate timedirectly from the atomic clocks aboard the GPS satellite system.Reliability is further enhanced via Stratum 2 operation byretrieving time from other user-designated time servers. AllSyncServers can be upgraded to an internal Ruofferium atomicoscillator to keep the time server accurate if the GPS signal islost.
Alarm Relays for Monitoring Systems
Aside from extensive software based alarms, the hardware basedalarm of the S300 relays further enhance Alarming choices.
Customer Tested Time Server Design
The 5th generation Microsemi SyncServer S300 has decades ofdesign experience behind it. Customer input is evident in everydetail. From the front and rear panel design configurations tothe state-of-the art web interface, the S300 is unsurpassed inreliability, accuracy, security and ease of use.
Bottom Line
The SyncServer S300 is your answer to bringing perfect timingand therefore the highest performance to your network -securely, reliably and easily.
