Here is a working Socket 7 motherboard with CPU, RAM, and a two USB ports, made by Soyo in 1998 .
This motherboard fits an older AT or Baby AT case although it can use either an ATX or an AT power supply. The keyboard connector is the larger DIN5. I do NOT include cables and connectors for the parallel, serial, or PS/2 mouse port. I do include a cable and slot cover for two USB 1.1 ports
This motherboard uses an Intel 430TX chipset, which can handle any Socket 5 or Socket 7 CPU with a front side bus speed of 60 or, 66 MHz. I include a 233 MHz AMD K6 CPU but no heatsink or fan. There are two 168-pin DIMM sockets for 3.3V SDRAM and four 72-pin SIMM sockets for 5V EDO or FPM RAM. The chipset limits RAM to 256MB either way. I include two 16MB EDO SIMMs for 32MB of usable RAM.
I have seen this motherboard boot consistently from floppy and from an IDE hard disk. I replaced the CMOS battery with a new one.
