This Beige Power Macintosh G3 266MHz desktop computer by Apple is like the Swiss Army knife of vintage Macs. Upgraded to 160 MB RAM, TWO 4GB internal HDDs (8 GB total), and upgraded to USB (via the installed USB PCI card) allowing the use of both the included original ADB keyboard & mouse (or other ADB peripherals) PLUS modern peripherals such as USB keyboards, mice, printers, etc. Additionally, this model includes a factory-installed Apple 56K internal modem. Retro cool vintage games and apps are also loaded on the HDD. THREE operating systems (macOS 8.1, macOS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X 10.2.6), floppy drive, CD drive, ADB, USB, Ethernet, Serial, and SCSI ports. Lots of versatility here!
Floppy and CD work perfectly, see video. The unit has been cleaned, real-world tested except for the modem (I have no dial-up service to test it), and everything appears to be fully functional. Includes original ADB keyboard & mouse and power cord. It has been carefully packed for safe shipping.
This model marked Apple's transition from classic Macintosh to more modern protocols that are still used today. Perfect for collectors or enthusiasts of vintage computing, this Apple Macintosh brings a piece of tech history to life with its retro design, yet its versatile configuration makes it a great bridge Mac to connect older with newer peripherals as well as assist transferring files to and from other Macs both old and new.
