Vintage VLSI 12MHz Zero-Wait '286 Turbo Mainboard User's Manual / Guide.
This original 16-page softcover manual covers the VLSI 12MHz Zero-Wait 286 Turbo Mainboard and includes technical specifications, mainboard jumper selection, configuration/setup instructions, chipset technical information, system speed selection, and related attachment information.
The manual references IBM PC, PC/XT, and PC/AT compatible systems.
CONDITION:
Excellent vintage condition overall. The manual is clean, crisp, and fully intact, with crisp, clean pages and no rips, tears, creases, crumpling, writing, or other significant damage observed. The front cover is also in very nice condition.
The exception is the back cover and inside of the back cover, which have faint, flat brownish spotting/discoloration consistent with age-related paper foxing. The spotting is limited to these areas. No visible fuzzy or raised growth was observed.
The manual also has a noticeable vintage/storage odor from its long-term storage. The manual has not been cleaned or treated.
Please review all photographs carefully for the exact condition and appearance.
ITEM SOURCE / PROVENANCE:
This manual comes from the remaining inventory of ABC Resellers, a Texas computer sales and repair business established and operated by my late father from the late 1980s through approximately 2015.
What began as a home-based business grew into a professional computer sales and service operation specializing in vintage computer systems, legacy hardware, components, software, networking equipment, restoration, repairs, and technical support. My father spent decades working with and supporting computer technology, helping customers maintain older systems and sourcing hard-to-find legacy parts after many of these technologies were no longer readily available.
The inventory from ABC Resellers was accumulated through many years of that work and represents a unique collection of vintage technology spanning generations of personal computing. This inventory is now being carefully photographed, documented, and individually liquidated as part of the estate process.
Original manuals, accessories, or documentation are not included beyond what is specifically described and pictured above.
