WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra NAS-- DISKLESS -- Case repaired
Includes: NAS, mounting bolts, and tabs for hard drives, power cord, 3' CAT 5e cable.
Does NOT include: Hard drives. This is DISKLESS. Again, NO hard drives are included in this sale.
Case repaired: Two plastic tabs that hold outer plastic case were broken. Used a 3D printed 90 degree bracket along the edge attached with double stick Gorilla tape. This repair does the job of the two broken plastic tabs. A large rubber band or a couple of loops of electrical tape around the entire NAS would have the same impact. My 3D print solution is prettier.
The plastic case and its repair have no impact on the performance of the NAS. If you do not understand the repair based on my description and photos, please DO NOT buy this NAS.
NAS has been fully tested and factory reset. Firmware has been updated to latest version: 5.33.102 To test, I transferred thousands of files to and from the NAS. Please see screen shots.
