Here I have restored professionally a Macintosh PowerBook 170. I replaced all the capacitors, and reinforced all the standoffs and hinges so that brittle plastic won’t take over. There is a Japanese JIS keyboard and modem. The machine will come with system 7.5.3 on a blueSCSI hard drive emulator with a Samsung SD, so that means no drive failures. If you are looking for a professionally restored and upgraded PowerBook 170 that has RAM upgrade, storage upgrade, perfect looking screen, new CMOS battery, and zero corrosion, this will be your best bet. The fact that it is from Japan is the cherry on top! The machine has 8MB which is near maximum for the time! The device also will include the battery slide cover and rear cover, which often go missing! Since I only have one power supply, I will be including another one that is missing the plastic support tip, but works fine still for the machine.
