Up for sale is an upgraded and restored Apple Macintosh IIfx. The IIfx is Apple's fastest 68030-based Mac, running at an impressive 40MHz. The IIfx was one of Apple's most expensive computers at launch, which has led to it becoming quite rare nowadays.
This particular unit has 68MB of RAM installed, an impressive feat for a IIfx since they use special, proprietary 64-pin SIMMs which are hard to find.
The computer also features a BlueSCSI V2 SCSI disk emulator which provides fast, silent storage. The BlueSCSI also allows you to easily transfer files with a modern computer via SD card. Graphics wise, the computer is equipped with an Interware Grand Vimage 19, which supports resolutions up to 1152x870 at 24-bit color.
This particular unit has been fully serviced. The surface mount electrolytic capacitors on the motherboard have all been replaced. The PRAM batteries have been replaced. The floppy eject gear has been replaced.
The computer is configured with Mac OS 7.6.1, though other operating systems can be installed upon request.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Reasonable offers welcome.
